Ryan joined the Seals in 2015. This will be Ryan's fifth year as a Seals coach and his first year as the head coach for the Seals after serving as an assistant coach for the past 4 seasons. When asked why he returns year over year - the answer is very simple, "I do it for the kids!"
Ryan embodies the Seals culture and values. Year over year he is a swimmer and parent favorite and is always a positive influence for our team.
This is my first year as an assistant coach for the Seals and my 13th year overall with the team. I began my swimming career with the Seals when I was 7. My swimming experience includes 12 years for the Seals and 4 years of high school swimming (3 years on Varsity) at Newark Memorial High School where I graduated in 2018 and was voted JV Boys MVP in 2015.
Currently, I attend school at Ohlone College where I hope to transfer to a CSU or UC within the next few years. I currently work as a Shallow Water Lifeguard for the City of Newark.
I have always enjoyed being a part of such a great team and I am really excited to see what the Seals can do this season
